For those who do not have enough time or stamina to go to the high Himalayas, we have come up with Around Kathmandu trek which is also known as Kathmandu Valley Rim Trek or Kakani Village Trek.
This is the 7-days trekking package near Kathmandu which begins with sightseeing in Kathmandu. You will be taken in UNESCO Tour before driving to Kakani, the famous hill station near Kathmandu. Trek through the rustic settlement of Kakani to Budanilkantha Temple. Budanilkantha is one of the oldest Hindu temples in Kathmandu as it dates back to 5th century. The 5meter tall statue of Vishnu in reclining position located in the middle of the pond is highlight of Budanilkantha. From Budanilkantha, the route continues uphill through rhododendron forest to Borlang Bhanjyang. We will move further to Chisapani which offers scenic mountain views of Ganesh, Langtang and other mountains. Chisapani connects Langtang Region with Helambu region. About 7hrs of trek will take us to Nagarkot. On clear day, we can get view of Annapurna in west to Everest in east. We will enjoy sunrise view from Nagarkot before your departure.

Itinerary Outline
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
Day 2: Kathmandu City Tour, Drive to Kakani
Day 3: Kakani to Dada Gaon
Day 4: Dadagaon to Budanilkhantha
Day 5: Budanilkantha to Chisapani via Borlang Bhangyang
Day 6: Chisapani to Nagarkot
Day 7: Return to Kathmandu for Departure 
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
Once you arrive in Kathmandu Airport, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to the tourist standard hotel with B/B plan. After getting refreshed, you will meet with your trek guide who will report you about the trip schedule.

Day 2: Kathmandu City Tour, Drive to Kakani
After breakfast, you will be taken for Sightseeing in Kathmandu during which you will visit Nepal’s largest Bouddanath Stupa, Most sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath (home of Nepal’s guardian god) and Ancient Royal Palace of Kathmandu Durbar Square. In the afternoon, we will drive from Kathmandu to Kakani which is the famous hill station near Kathmandu.Kakani is located 29km northwest of Kathmandu. Enjoy sunset view from Kakani hill. Stay overnight in Kakani.

Day 3: Kakani to Dada Gaon
Around Kathmandu Trek begins from Kakani. Kakani is famous for its strawberry production. We will walk past rustic villages in Kakani to reach Danda Gaon (a village located at the top of hill) where we will stay overnight. Dada Gaon or Danda Gaon offers exquisite views of mountains.   

Day 4: Dadagaon to Budanilkhantha
Leaving Dadagaon, we will follow the descending trail and enter Shivpuri National Park which is the nearest National Park from Kathmandu. Traverse the forested area to reach Budanilkantha which exists 8km northeast of Kathmandu. We will visit Budhanilkantha temple. Statue of 5meter tall sleeping Vishnu is the major attraction of Budanilkantha temple. The statue is believed to date back to 5th century. Stay overnight in Budanilkantha.

Day 5: Budanilkantha to Chisapani via Borlang Bhangyang
Leaving Budanilkantha, we will follow the ascending trail for about 4hrs to reach Borlang Bhanjyang (2600m) which offers scenic views of Manaslu, Ganesh, Langtang and Helambu Mountains. We will walk past Tamang settlements to Chisapani where we will stay overnight.

Day 6: Chisapani to Nagarkot
About 7hrs of trek will take us to Nagarkot from Chisapani. Chisapani offers views of Gaurishankar Mounatin, Dorje Lakpa Mountain, Langtang Mountain and other mountain views. From Chisapani, the route continues through rhododendron forest to Nagarkot which is famous for its sunrise view.

Day 7: Return to Kathmandu for Departure
Wake up early in the morning and reach Nagarkot tower for sunrise view. On clear day, we can get views of Annapurna in the west to Everest in the east. You will be transferred to airport three hours before your scheduled flight for departure. We hope to see you soon.
