Annapurna Base Camp Trek

This journey started with something new for me. A warm welcome to Kathmandu by my guide Jangbu Lama; a nice person, experience expert and above all a fan of the mountains in Nepal.

Being taken into the mountains via a dirt road with a jeep; avoiding rocks and holes, passing oncoming traffic on the narrowest parts, driving through a river, because the bridge was broken ..... this adventure started with that.

From the first "serious" climb to the viewpoint Poon Hill (3210m.), I secretly longed for the mighty eight-thousanders that became visible in the distance. At that time the attraction was so great and tangible. I wanted to be there.

We continued at a nice pace, with the existing planning on the spot going overboard. Fine for Simone, who apparently is inextricably linked to abandonment ...?

Not the walk itself, but especially the cooling after walking, the lack of a short hot shower after arrival and no longer a wood stove on this piece, made it a bit heavy and "nice and fresh".
At 3700m. crawl into a warm sleeping bag with thermo clothing in a room (read; stone cage) and a buff around your head, ice-cold winter toes that are difficult to get up to temperature, a body that is upset, which suffers from altitude sickness .... . -11 sleeping the night asleep was a small test and challenge for me. I thought it was a bit exciting. Thanks, Jangbu!
Oh yes, also a frozen toilet was not missing😱

But if you leave in the morning at 6 am in the dark with your head lamp on, familiar after Jangbu to climb to the peak of this trip, then you know what you are doing it for. Tension screamed through my body. But also a kind of serene peace. Climbing in silence through the snow, as the sun rises and the world awakens, among these huge giants. My heart screamed with joy.
Then I really live!

It was super cool at 4130m. to enjoy the mighty mountains that I stood between. Annapurna South (7219m.) Was clearly visible and a glimpse of Annapurna I (8091m.) Which was further surrounded by clouds. In thedistance FishtailFishtaill (6997m.) With its special and striking shape. You then feel small and insignificant at +4100 meters. Mighty beautiful! Thank you so much   Saribung Adventure for the wonderfull trp organization.
