Jomsom Muktinath Trek is one of the most chosen pilgrimage trek in Nepal. Muktinath is an integral part of Hidden Region- Mustang. The trek offers one of the most diverse geographical experience in Nepal ranging from tropical forest with blooming rhododendrons to dry valleys to remote plateaus. Muktinath trekking route progresses through world’s deepest Kali Gandaki Gorge and continues along arid valleys to majestic Annapurna Mountain. It follows ancient trade route in between Mustang and Tibet. Muktinath trek can be done as a tea house trek. Muktinath is located 18km northeast of Jomsom. 
We offer Jomsom Muktinath trek itinerary as a 9-days package. We will enjoy sightseeing in Kathmandu before heading for Pokhara. From Pokhara, we will take Pokhara to Jomsom flight. Muktinath trek begins from Jomsom. We will pass through several Gurung villages and pass through Kagbeni to Muktinath. Muktinath is sacred to Buddhists and Hindus alike. We will walk along Gompa Sambha Monastery to the temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Devotees can be seen taking shower in icy cold water that flows through 108 brass sprouts. We will also visit Marme Lakhang before returning to Jomsom. An early flight from Jomsom will take us to Pokhara from where we will return to Kathmandu. Day01: Kathmandu Arrival
After you disembark from the plane, you will have to go through custom formalities. Later, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to hotel for your luxurious stay. You will get briefing from your tour leader. Enjoy the welcome dinner.
 
Day02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu
After breakfast, guide will take you for wonderful Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour during which you will visit UNESCO sites like Pashupatinath, Swayambhu, Bouddhanath and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Kathmandu is the wonderful city where culture is embedded in the daily life of people. Pashupatinath is one of the holiest Hindu temple in the world. Swayambhunath is the oldest Buddhist stupa and Bouddhanath is the largest stupa. Bouddhanath is located in ancient trade route between Nepal and Tibet.

Day03: Drive to Pokhara
There are two ways to reach Pokhara. Leave Kathmandu from Thankot checkpoint and follow Prithvi Highway for 5hrs to Pokhara. The journey will be scenic with views of Trishuli River, cable car, green hills and Marsyangdi River. If time permits, we will go for boating in Phewa Lake. Stay overnight in Pokhara. 

Day04: Pokhara to Jomsom Flight, Trek to Kagbeni (2810m)
Take20 minutes of scenic flight from Pokhara to Jomsom which is the district headquarters of Mustang. Assemble th crew and begin your trek. You will be greeted with views of Nilgiri Mountain, Dhaulagiri Mountain, Tukuche peak and Dhampus peak. Kagbeni is the entry point for Upper Mustang. Stay overnight in a camp at Kagbeni.

Day05: Kagbeni to Muktinath (3800m)
Leave Kagbeni and walk through the windy valley to Muktinath. Muktinath- the lord of salvation is one of the major religious sites for Hindus and Buddhists. The walls are decorated with prayer wheels. We will walk along Gompa Sambha Monastery to the temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Take shower in 108 brass sprouts and visit Marme Lakhang.   

Day06: Muktinath to Jomsom (2713m)
Lower down from Muktinath and reach Jharkot village. The path stretches through expanse of dry plateau. We will stop by Buddhist Monastery before continuing the journey to Eklebhatti. Walk along Kaligandaki River to Jomsom. Kaligandaki River is rich in Shaligram which is the sacred stone considered as one of the manifestation of Lord Vishnu. 

Day07: Jomsom to Pokhara Flight 
Take 20 minutes of Jomsom Pokhara flight to reach Pokhara. We will go for Pokhara tour in the afternoon during which we will visit Davids Fall, Seti Gorge, KI Singh Bridge and Mahendra Cave. Stay overnight in hotel in Pokhara.    

Day08: Pokhara to Kathmandu
Kathmandu is 200km far from Pokhara. Prithvi Highway connects Kathmandu with Pokhara. Stay overnight in hotel in Kathmandu.

Day09: Departure
You will be dropped off at Tribhuvan International Airport approximately 3hours before your flight. Have a safe journey. We hope to see you soon.
